The Chronicles of Narnia - Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Lucy and Edmund have been staying with their cousin - Eustace - during World War 1. While in their room, they take note of a painting which has a ship that doesn't belong there. When the painting starts leaking water they know it's a calling from Narnia. Soon the entire room is filled with water and when they arise at the surface their suspicions are true. Without them knowing, Lucy, Edmund, and Eustace are about to embark on an epic adventure.

I must say this movie was amazing! I am going to miss the Pevensie children though but this movie was a grand way to show their departure from Narnia. I think the best highlight about this movie was the way that they had to overcome their temptations. Desire of the eyes can lead one astray and this movie showed that. Also, it was very admirable seeing how Eustace changed his wrong ways. But, as for the rest of the movie, the plot was very - despite being obvious fiction - realistic. It was easy to follow and it was as if you were in every scene. A lot of people might be concerned about how much violence was in it though. While there were brief sword fights and some fist, compared to so called 'children's' movies now-a-days it's highly minimal. So i.e. it's nothing that you can't find in a cartoon. The graphics were decent but I'm not going to lie, I've seen better. Though, that was just my thought in the begining of the movie. Towards the middle and end it was amazing. Even though I did not see it in 3D I'm glad though because of how intense the movie is, 3D might make it too 'over the top' so to speak. I think this series so far has been the best movie series that I've ever seen and I think that we're all anxious for more to come our way!

You should definitely be ready2see this movie!

The Last Airbender - Shyamalan

Well, I must say I am a fan of the animated series so this movie was a huge disappointment to me and all other fans. The problem is - I'm not expecting perfect but - he didn't follow the storyline of the show. To be honest, he didn't even keep the same names! There were bits and pieces of attempts at recreations of episodes scattered everywhere. Anyone who didn't see the series would not understand this movie. He left things out and added things in. For instance, he purposely excluded two semi-main characters - Suki and Jet! It was an outrageous mess. Because of those two characters, the entire trilogy will crumble. The only good thing that came out of the movie were the effects! Just stick to the show... please. I wanted to RIP OUT my eyeballs! I will never buy the DVD!

So whatever you do, DON'T be ready2see this movie.

GONE.

After reading Gone - by Micheal Grant - I just needed to read more. GENIUS!

The main plot to this book makes quit the page turner.
Everyone fifteen years old and over disappears one morning. While kids are in school, there teachers and older classmates vanish in a blink of the eye. And at home, parents are gone to. As it is later revealed, kids fourteen and under are trapped in a giant bubble with no apparent way to get out. All the kids now at Perdido Beach are looking to one fourteen year old boy to lead them. Sam. He just wants to live a normal life without having to be responsible for anyone but this soon changes when he is chosen as the leader. He'll have a few kids to help but he must make life and death decisions. On top of that, he'll have to deal with the fact that kids are changing. Dramatically.

As I read this book realized just how Grant made me feel like I was in the book. You'll have a blast reading this book, just remember to come up for air once and a while! If you want my opinion, you better be Ready2Read this book!

Wiki.answers or Wiki.stupid?

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Wiki.answer . com. First I received cyberbullying from one of the site's supervisors. I tried to ask what was wrong and he threatened to take my account away. He didn't even say for what! Again I tried to ask what was going on and he spiked my account! That's right, he suspended it! Do you know why he did all that? My religion! He doesn't like anybody's religion but his own as made clear by his messages to me. There is no need to get yourself rapped up0 in this nonsense. There's plenty of other sites where you can ask questions but never go to Wiki.answers . com! And on top of that, half of the answers are incorrect... 3/4 of it actually! Save yourself and NEVER be Ready2Read these answers.

Gregor the Overlander

This book is one of my favorites from Collins. It really was a big surprise for me since I'm used to reading YA - Young Adult - type books. This book was actually more fore tweens witch was fine by me. Gregor had manged to fall down a tube when he saw his sister go down and landed in a mysterious world...

Even though this book was fiction, it's not that far off from what some kids are facing today. That is, big responsibility. Gregor was only eleven yet he took care of his two younger sisters and his elderly grand-mother. The reason for this was a full time working mother who was barely ever at home. I could honestly say this I had fun reading this book. Of course a few times I think I was on the brink of insanity trying to figure out what would happen next! Another thing I could point out is a lesson that we could all learn from. In the book when Gregor traveled to the odd world, rats were - in a comic book like way of saying it - the bad guys. They were evil. But one rat stood out. He was Ripred and he helped Gregor. At first Gregor didn't like him and actually hated him because of what rats did to his father so even though Ripred was good, Gregor held a grudge to all rats. We mustn't hate all for something one person did or
vice versa. In conclusion, as long as you have a kid's imagination... you should be Ready2Read this book!
